On the most beautiful day at Common House social club in Chattanooga, Tennessee...
Mary is a friend of mine from a job I worked in college, so when she reached out for me to photograph their wedding, I was nothing short of OVERJOYED!! She is truly one of the kindest souls you'll ever meet, and Ty is just the same! I was beyond honored that a sweet friend of mine would trust me with her most special day. Plus, I hadn't seen this angel of a girl in SO LONG, so it was so nice to see her face and catch up!
The day began with my arrival in Chattanooga at Common House. Common House is easily the most uniquely beautiful venue I have ever photographed. It's a social club located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, but also a few other locations in the Eastern USA. I had seen photos of this place before, which meant that I was SO eager to shoot there! Who wouldn't be right?! I mean LOOK at it!! So, I start the day off with the details. Desiree (the most AMAZING coordinator I got to work with on this day) gave me all of Mary's pretty things and I immediately knew that the terracotta checkered floor would be showcased in these. I couldn't resist using it all day! She didn't bring much for her details, so it helped to have the floors of this place literally be their own form of artwork. After details, the guys showed up!! We did some shots of the groom in their bar area, and then took to the streets to capture this rowdy bunch of best friends. It was toooooo fun!! Mary and Ty gave each other sweet gifts so we took this time to let them open them! They didn't do a first look which made these moments get them even more excited to see each other!! When the girls pulled up, I was SO ready to see Mary and her best gals! Let me tell you, her friends were the best hype women I have EVER SEEN! When I said bring the hype, they brought it and they pumped their bride up at any chance she could get!! They were so servant-hearted and genuinely SO FUNNY so it made the day so much fun! After finishing up with wedding party groups and solo portraits, it was ceremony time. Ty LOST IT. In the most sweet, loving, admiring way, he lost it. As the tears fell down his face, the look of pure love in his eyes shone through. It was the best reaction to his about-to-be WIFE walking down the aisle toward him! Their ceremony was sweet and their vows even sweeter! SIGNED, SEALED, AND DELIVERED, they were off down the aisle! After the ceremony they exchanged some sweet kisses and could not contain their excitement! We stole them away to enjoy being newlyweds and ended up with the most beautiful sunset to start off their marriage! These photos still have me SWOONING GUYS! Off to the party they went! Some HYPE wedding introductions made possible by the awesome DJ Tony kicked off a crazy fun reception! A tasty cake cutting, the sweetest first dance with each other and their parents, and some heartwarming toasts made for such an intimate evening. Ty threw on his dancing shoes and the party BEGAN! They danced the night away with all of their best people surrounding them! DJ Tony brought quite the party and they all had such a blast (myself included)! To finish off the night, they ended with a private last dance. I love when people take those last few moments to be with each other at the end of their wedding day. It's TOO sweet! A shimmering sparkler exit was waiting for them outside... and they may have run through it not once, not twice, but three times! Because why the heck not!!
It was on this day that Mary and Ty became The Presleys and I could not have been happier to be with them to share in the joy!
